A welcome return visit: Julia’s account

Julia Abspacher spent six weeks at the Care Centre and accompanied the home-care team. On one visit, an older woman waved to them from her home. She had previously been cared for in the hospice. A few months later she was feeling better and was pleased to see the team again. A care assistant returned to the vehicle smiling and said how much he loved his work.

Julia also describes children at the home decorating their rooms for spring with garlands and their own drawings. These small shared activities, together with attentive home visits, made the Care Centre’s care tangible to her. The later course of the woman’s life is not documented.
