During a visit to the Children’s Home, Maresi Rehder found Meagan studying geography at the desk of the home’s director, Mr Clark. They were preparing for her school-leaving exams together.

Meagan had come to the Children’s Home as a young child. The newsletter describes how she grew into a confident young woman there. She had already been offered a university place, and the Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard pledged continuing support from its bursary fund.

Her story shows how care over many years can open new opportunities for a young person. The 2014 newsletter reports her plans at that time; it does not document her later studies.
