In September 2024, parents wrote a letter of thanks to the Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard’s outpatient care team. Their daughter had needed regular wound care for several months after an injury. From May, staff visited the family, supporting her recovery with skill and kindness.

The parents described how the dependable visits helped their daughter feel safe. They also spared the family repeated, costly journeys to hospital. The family valued the listening and human closeness alongside the nursing care.

Their story shows what home care can achieve where travel distances are long: people receive help in familiar surroundings, while families gain support during a difficult time.
