In newsletter no. 37 from 2018, two people staying at Blessed Gérard’s Hospice describe how they came there.
Sanele had become so weak that he could barely walk. His brothers could not look after him all the time. After arriving at the hospice, he felt comfortable and grateful for the kind care.
Nobuhle Mavimbela lived alone and feared returning home without support after a hospital stay. At the care centre she felt safe. She described friendly nurses and a doctor who took time to answer her questions.
Their accounts show how much a dependable place and personal attention can mean during a difficult time.
