Visit of the Prime Minister on 10 December 2003

The Premier of KwaZulu/Natal, Dr Lionel P H M Mtshali visited Blessed Gérard's Care and Social Centre on 10 December 2003.

Our Prime Minister listened attentively to a presentation about our ministry and we showed him our hospice and children's home. He was very impressed with our work, even gave us a personal donation and promised his help with our fundraising. Prime Minister Mtshali is known for his courageous attitude and actions to help HIV/AIDS patients access antiretroviral drugs and we are proud to be united with him in the fight against AIDS in our country.

The Prime Minister gave us updates on HIV/AIDS policy developments in KwaZulu/Natal and the country's commitment to a holistic and comprehensive response to the AIDS pandemic (from left to right) Chief V J Ngcobo, District Administrator Simo Mfayela of Ilembe, Prince Nhlanhla Zulu M.P., Prime Minister Dr Lionel Mtshali, Mr S V Naicker M.P.P.
